I have shared extensively about how God has miraculously moved in my life. The Lord is truly good and merciful. I am so grateful for what He has done in my life, both for me and through me. He has helped me find my wife, He saved me from death many times, He has healed me of sickness, He has allowed me to pray for others and see them healed of a variety of issues as well, and, the greatest of all gifts, He allowed me to know Him and be friends with Him.
This last gift I mention was given to me at a time when I most needed it. I do not know where I would be if God did not introduce Himself to me when I was 21 years old, living in utter darkness as I continued seeking happiness in things that were literally killing me.
I am honored to have been able to share a bit of my story with Heroic Men, a ministry that has teamed up with the National Eucharistic Revival in order to share the stories of men who have had profound encounters with the Eucharist.
To summarize my video, receiving the Eucharist completely altered the trajectory of my life. Through the Blessed Sacrament, God showed me that I belonged to Him. This is what I needed to let go of my addictions, hard-headedness, and hard-heartedness, and humbly submit myself to the Lord.
What is amazing to me is that I am merely a drop in the bucket of the many more souls in this world that have experienced God move in the ways that He has in my life. Even if these movements are not as extreme or noticeable as the examples I mentioned, God is still moving in the lives of others, and it is always amazing to see and hear about.
Sometimes, when these movements are not as extreme or easy to notice, we can miss them or assume that they are not from God and are merely a random occurrence. However, we must come to understand that if God exists and is Who He Is, then there are no random occurrences. He is even within the details of your life.
It might take some time of reflection, but I invite you to think back on your day, your week, month, year, or even your life and discern how God has moved in it. Maybe you have some stories similar to the examples I shared at the beginning of this message? Or maybe you have experienced those moments that are hard to explain, but you just know it was something special between you and the Lord.
There are really a large variety of ways that God moves in our lives, and it is up to us to grow in our awareness of this. Just like we can communicate our affection with a hug, a smile, hand holding, or a gift, God also does not only communicate in words. He moves, creates, heals, restores, inspires, and shows His affection in a variety of ways. Moreover, He often collaborates with other humans to do this as well.
If you want to become more aware of God’s movements in your life, the first step is to ask Him to help you grow in this awareness. Furthermore, you should keep asking and showing God that you are serious about your desire. It is not always instantaneous, and it is usually a slow journey, but if you persist, you will experience tons of growth and joy in the process.
Truly, it is an amazing gift to discover that God is moving in your life and then learn how to encounter Him. If you have any stories of God’s movements in your life, we would love to hear them! Please share them with us at info@zenithministries.com. If we do ever share them with others, we will keep them anonymous.
